Grooved Half Random Red Medium Tube EN10255

Our half random red medium walled pipes with rolled grooved ends are certified to EN10255. Grooved pipes are perfect for use in areas where flanged connections or welding is neither possible nor convenient. For use with grooved fittings are specifically designed for use in grooved piping systems and conform to standard outside diameters of steel pipe.

Using a grooved piping system eliminates hot work and the associated risks and reduces installation time. The pressure rating for standard fittings is that of the coupling they are attached to. The groove design allows flexibility and easy alignment offering a durable, long lasting solution with tight seal that's suitable for a range of applications. Available in nominal bore sizes from 50mm (2") to 150mm (6").

The roll grooving on the pipe pushes an indentation into the pipe near the end of the pipe. This allows the grooved fitting to be slid over the end of the pipe to fit the groove. Rolled grooved pipe has the advantage of not reducing the thickness of the pipe, so it is more resistant to corrosion than thinner pipes, similar threaded pipes, or cut grooved pipes.
