1387 Red Medium Weight Plain End Steel Pipe

Our red medium walled seam welded steel pipe is available in 6 metre lengths with plain ends. Finished with red oxide metal primer, an anti-corrosion coating designed to protect ferrous metals such as steel and iron, for the prevention of rust formation and is suitable for interior and exterior use.

Available in 3/4", 1", 1.1/4", 1 1/2", 2", 2.1/2", 3", 4", 5", 6" dimensions, dual certified to BS EN 10217-7:2002 and BS EN 10255:2004 (previously BS 1387). Manufactured using low carbon mild steel and fully killed. Carbon steel medium weight pipe can be used for a wide range of applications including water transmission, irrigation systems, fuel and oil supply and also gas and compressed air lines.

Plain end pipe can be coupled via butt welding, socket welding or welding with a slip on flange. Where a flexible connection is required, two plain end pipes can be connected with a flange adaptor, and sealed by a rubber ring in the adaptor.
