The Story
Pipe repairs can be carried out on pipes of all sizes made from steel, stainless steel, copper, malleable iron, GRP, ceramic, clay, concrete, rubber and most plastics. The kit is WRAS approved, meaning it is safe to use when working on drinking water systems. This pipe repair kit allows the user to carry out emergency leak repairs on live leaks without any training and repair the leak in 30 minutes.
*Note: 2 x DN150 kits can repair a DN300 pipe repair
Each kit contains:
- Wrap & Seal Pipe Burst Tape
- Superfast Epoxy Putty
- SylWrap Pipe Repair Bandages
How the kit works:
Wrap & Seal is a self-fusing silicone repair tape which stretches by 300%. It fuses into a solid rubber band when wrapped around pipework.
Epoxy Putty helps prepare the leaky pipe for the application of Wrap & Seal by removing step from joints.
SylWrap Pipe Repair Bandage is then wrapped over the top of the epoxy putty and Wrap & Seal. It sets rock hard when activated with water, providing a long-lasting repair.
No prior training is needed to use the Universal Pipe Repair Kit, simply follow the instructions that are provided.
The kit resists pressure up to 30bar and temperatures of 250ºC and it can be used on pipes carrying hot water and chemicals.
