The Story

Protecta-Line Male x Iron BSP Tapered End Connector

Protecta-Line is the original barrier pipe and fitting system – trusted by many house builders, contractors and water authorities in the UK – to transport drinking water safely through contaminated land. BS 8588:2017 approved, the barrier pipe has a multi-layer construction that prevents contaminants permeating into the water supply.

Protecta-Line Male x Iron BSP (British Standard Pipe) Tapered End Connector is ideal for connecting pipes together with other pipes or accessories. The fitting offers proven protection against all recognised brownfield contaminants, for use in contaminated land environments. Suitable for use in industrial applications, irrigation and drainage equipment, for use with Protecta-Line barrier pipe MDPE PE80 SDR11 coils.

The Protecta-Line compression fittings are manufactured from high grade polyethylene, incorporating an impermeable aluminium barrier layer, wrapped onto a core of PE80. The fitting offers proven protection against all recognised brownfield contaminants.

No pipe end preparation required. Suitable for the conveyance of drinking water. Easy to install in all weather conditions without the need for specialist tools.

Easy to handle, lightweight, with no requirement to post-wrap the joints. Suitable for most common installation techniques and suitable for new and replacement drinking water supply systems.
